my first Chinese New Year away from home. away from the people who i miss dearly. away from all the yummy goodies like bak kwa, peanut cookies, love letters, the white biscuit thing (i’ve got a mental block now, i can’t remember what it’s called) etc etc. away from the ang baos and some income for the year.

anyway, had a nice dinner cum catch-up session with the meddies at Rock Kung on Wed night. either it’s because i haven’t had it in a while, or the food was really good. we had roast duck, char siew, soya sauce chicken, deep fried crispy chicken, tom yum soup, kai lan with garlic, and hotpot tofu with pork. yum yum =D after which we couldn’t really decide where to go/what to do, so we ended up in the arcade playing air hockey (some people very violent, play until the disc flew off the table, tsk tsk :P) and DDR. it was quite frustrating cos i was in fact stepping on the things at the right time but they just didn’t register. need to step harder next time. lol.

it was nice that even though we’re in different hospitals now, we still get to meet up like that. good chats, laughter, fun. had a great time :) we really must do this once in a while!

after i came home, i chatted + webcam with family over at my grandma’s place. they were evil. they purposely put all the food in front of the camera so that i could see. boo. and my lil sister was wearing MY top. haha, i did tell her that she could wear it if she wanted, but i didn’t think she’d be that fast. heh ;)

and then just tonight, my relatives were over at my place playing mahjong, so i was “giving advice” to my cousin via webcam. haha. it was pretty funny.
